Come and Join us for a wonderful day out at Scottish Food Fest.  Meet our Scottish Producers who will have samples of their food and drink for you to taste on the day and buy to take home with you.  Watch the Professionals at work in our Chef Demonstration Tent, where leading Scottish Chefs will be creating wonderful dishes for you to taste on the day - GET ADVENTUROUS - we will be posting the recipes from the day on the website soon for you to download and try at home!

There is plenty to keep children amused with our inflatable maze, Meet our own GIANT Food Fest Chef, Magic Tricks and Music from the Singing Chef and Get Creative with The Imagination Workshop, plus much much more.

Take time to relax and listen to the live entertainment provided throughout the day by our Media Sponsors - CENTRAL FM, who are bringing their roadshow and a host of fantastic live entertainment for you to enjoy.

There's so much for you to enjoy that your greatest challenge will be fitting it all in !

Everything you've always wanted to know about the Food Fest but were afraid to ask.

Where is it held?

The Scottish Food Fest will be held in Cochrane Park in Alva.

When is it?

The event will be held on Sunday 21st September 2008, 12 - 6pm

Buying tickets

Tickets are bought on the day - £4.00 per individual and £10.00 for a family.

How to get there

By car - Alva is on the main road West from St Andrews and East from Stirling which is the A91. The Cochrane Hall and Park Food Fest venue is on the main thoroughfare called Stirling Street.

By public transport - the nearest train Station is Stirling and a regular circular bus service operates between Stirling and Alva.

Organised by the Wee County Development Trust

The key objectives of the Trust are to:

  1. Tackle economic disadvantage or exclusion of young people through the provision of support for, and experience in, innovative and creative Social Enterprise activities
  2. Achieve self sufficiency through trading and fund raising activities with surpluses reinvested for community benefit
